OK - mine just becaome available to order as well. So I updated the one I ordered and moved up to the Performance Model 3 option as well. It was $74k for me too.

We now can order the metallic black, but I don't know what benefits it offers. Considering that. Any suggestions?

AWD P became available for me to order now and the price drop is enticing.

I tweeted this today.

@ElonMusk Add SAS, black Alcantara headliner and the reveal turbines and I’ll use my second reservation today!

Yeah. You’re reaching now. Have to consider the strategy. Adding all of that increasing complexity exponentially. What they are trying to do is squeeze more revenue out of these vehicles to increase those profits.

I’m a great use case. I had a $54k car and just bumped to $75k. For what, some software, larger wheels and a spoiler? They’d be fools not to convert more now.

Of course, there are lots of points around the credits and 200k car mark that are floating around.

Yeah, I know, but as my signature used to say before the sig - a guy can dream!

I just noticed something in the configurator and can't recall if it was this way before. There is no mention of a standard interior or of premium upgrades (or even an SR model). Now the (base) vehicle price starts at $49,000 for the LR ($35K + 9K for LR + $5K for PUP) and the Interior page says Premium Interior - Included. There's no longer any indication (if there ever was) that a non-premium interior will be available with the LR battery. Is that possible/likely?

*The* math. The federal tax credit gradually phases out as explained above. TX does not have a state rebate that Tesla buyers are eligible for (there are threads on that as well). I have no idea whether RI has a state rebate. The CA rebate did not enter into my discussion because @Cintoman appears to be in RI.

There is no "grace period" for the tax credit. There is a phase out period that depends entirely on the date--the exact, precise calendar day--Tesla delivers the 200,000th US car after the beginning date of the legislation authorizing the plug in vehicle tax credit.

Edit: It's not like horseshoes, hand grenades and H-bombs--close does not count. Delivery date counts.
Correct...I am in RI. RI used to have a $2,500 State Tax Credit, but that is gone now...having expired I believe in July 2017. I'm still debating the LR AWD model now and full tax credit versus waiting for SR AWD and losing out on likely $3,750. Once the white interior is available in the non-performance models, I think I'll end up making my decision.
