No NDA? Are you a non-employee?
Employee. I specifically asked if there were restrictions / non-disclosure agreements that they had overlooked. There are / were none. I rather enjoy working for Tesla, and our mission statement is perfectly aligned with my personal ideals. I had to do double-check with my delivery specialist so as to not inadvertently jeopardize my standing with the company. Makes me wonder if some of the previously-delivered employee-owners were somewhat quiet because they were #sorrydriving, rather than being bound by NDA.

On a related note, if I don't respond for a short period of time, don't fret. Driving. Or working. Or both. :)...

Love this forum and the cause that it promotes, and having like-minded individuals to share enthusiasm with is pretty awesome. So, yeah, thank you @TrevP , for creating this site.

Now my car, home, garden equipment, and farmers' tan are all powered by the sun, and that is incredible.

The model 3 youtube video by Trev was comprehensive, so there isn't too much to say, with the exception of reiterating the elation associated with driving this machine.

I think they will fly by. It is November 12th today and was just the delivery event like a week ago ;)
That’s true. It certainly doesn’t feel like 18+ months since reserving as well. Time does have a tendency to slow as you get close to something though :)

View attachment 4029 Holy cow. Reservationists, you are in for a treat. I was somewhat obsessed about this car before driving it. Now, I am excited to run errands at the drop of a hat for the wifey.

It's like flying a fighter jet among a bunch of biplanes.

And I wasn't told to say that. No NDA.
I don't want to spoil the party, but is there a fit/finish issue at the back corner of the frunk lid? It looks like the frunk lid lifts and the edges separate much more than I have seen in other Model 3s. I don't think it is just the angle of the photo.

I see what you're talking about. It's very hard to say without seeing it in person. Also, it may be able to be adjusted as well.

As an aside, I had concerns on the same area different side. Many of the early cars seemed to be a bit wonky where the frunk, headlight, and front bumper come together but it looks perfect on that one!

How are ease of entry and exit? My wife loves the driving position and ease of getting in and out of the X. Also she is small. 5 feet. Given the low cowl, I assume the 3 would be a good choice for her, Help! This is a $50,000 difference.

Wow, you’re right. I didn’t spot that until you pointed it out.

This issue hasn’t been handled consistently by Tesla. I was told as you were initially upon delivery, only to have been instructed differently Several days later. There’s no NDA, just the threat of holding the employee responsible for any impermissible disclosures. While I would NOT recommend it, just contact press@tesla.com and they will confirm.

I’m 5ft tall and love driving the 3. Very easy to get in and out, and seat/driving positions are comfortable. I have driven a Model X as well and prefer the view and position of the 3.

And we have this Thursday (Tesla Semi event!!!) to tide us over a bit more. Plus, wasn't there talk of "something extra" during the Semi reveal? YAY!!!!

EDIT: Also, a big thank you to the OP for the message! GREAT!

@Buy PV - Congratulations! I'm sure you'll have the EV grin plastered on your face for at least the next couple of months. And yes, we're all jealous of you. :p

If you would be so kind, we'd REALLY appreciate it if you could wander over to the "Tech Talk -> FAQ: Checklist of features for new owners to share" thread and share your knowledge and insights.

Thanks and welcome to the EV club (2011 LEAF owner here)!

Congrats on the new car, and welcome to the club!

An email from Tesla was sent out to early deliveries a couple of months ago. While people seem to be posting much more freely now that so many cars have been delivered, there's been no official word either way since then. So... just tread carefully.

Enjoy. :)
