I had the privilege of touring a home recently that was almost finished with construction. It was gorgeous and way out of my price range but embodied what a true Tesla Home of the Future should be...everything except the Tesla solar tiles since those have not yet become publicly available. This house has boring, ugly solar panels (which can be seen on part of the roof in the drone picture).
The house is what any modern multimillion dollar in the Hamptons should look like. Views were amazing. Kitchen was gorgeous. Smart Home everything with full control of audio, lighting, HVAC, security all accessible through apps.
If you ask me, the most captivating part of the house is the garage. Full climate control and sound with ground space for 2 cars but one side had a lift to be able to park 2 cars vertically. There are currently 2 Powerwall2 units installed with plans to get another 2 Powerwall2 units. Only one Tesla wall connector installed but the builder will install more if requested. As per the listing agent, it may be possible to negotiate a new Tesla car with purchase of the house....
Even though the house is still under construction, the air conditioning has been running as usual and the electric bill for last month was only $17 with the use of solar panels (before installation of the Powerwall2). Basically, this house is "off the grid"
For those with $17 million burning a hole in their pocket, you can see the listing here:
