To all potential Tesla Model Y owners, we started a wheel and tire guide!

Since the 2020 Tesla Model Y has not been released, this is a guide based on information to the best of our knowledge. The information in this guide is based on photos, insider data, and sightings of the Tesla Model Y prototypes.

Check it out in our Tesla Owner's Online subforum: https://teslaownersonline.com/threads/tesla-model-y-wheel-and-tire-guide.13616/#post-246728

Any information you have that is useful to a potential Model Y owner is appreciated!

Any updates to this guide in recent months and with recent Model Y test sightings? Model Y seems to be running Model 3 style wheels....

I'm looking to buy a set of rims for my Model 3 soon with intentions to move them to a Model Y a few years down the road so it would be great to confirm fitment soon...

Based on the current Tesla Model Y configurator, there has been no recent changes with the Model Y factory wheel options.

Does anyone know if the Model Y 19" Gemini wheel gray part is just a new plastic aero cap that can be taken off if you want?

FYI, I kind of answered my own question. This video shows what the OEM 19" wheel probably looks like underneath.

For snow tires, does it make sense to go down to 18"?

If so, what is the recommended size?

Yes you can remove them, also powder coat the wheels if you want a darker ones. The wheel hub nuts and cover is not yet available on Tesla shop but can get 3rd party ones.
