Interesting article.......don't know if it was a "rush to Press" for the original text of the 'Descriptors' in time for the Model 3 reveal and the resultant change to the new description or if in fact the demand as stated has driven the change after Tesla has "re-assssed." I do agree that a lot of the options will be hardware Standards/included in the base version with an Optioning/UpgradeCost to turn on.
Maybe Tesla got ahead of itself with the Base Pricing and what would be available and decided they can't offer all that at that price. Also found a graphic showing how "thin" the profit margins will be on the Base Model 3 and how the profit margin increases with the higher Optioning.
