Has anyone painted/plasti-dip/powder coated their Tempest wheels black? The cover or the wheel itself? Curious as to how they look. Thanks.

Not tempest wheels, but a related thread.

I haven't seen the wheel covers but the Gemini wheels under are the same as the Y. Someone one Twitter painted them black.

Thanks for the info. I'm curious as to what the covers look painted black.
You could get some plast-dip and paint them yourself.
If you decide you don't like it, it's easy to peel off.
If you decide you do like, but want to powedercoat instead, it's easy to peel off. ;)

This was my first attempt at plasti-dipping my wheels. I was going for a gunmetal grey. I think it turned out more like a dark granite, but I really liked the look. But I had applied each coat too thin, giving it a very bumpy surface. It was impossible to clean, and ended up looking bad with accumulated dirt. So I tore it off and went with flat black (link in sig).
