I noticed several small cracks in my driver side tail light. The are all around the edge. Could this be from the factory? I did not notice them before. I got my car 11/30/18.
Could it be from slamming the trunk too hard? The other tail light is fine.
What do you think? Sharing a google photos link. Hope it works.

Wow surprised to see that. I just washed my car yesterday but didnt notice anything. I will have to check all the light bezels. I did notice tiny dings in the paint at the nose of the Frunk. I assume from small debris on the roadway.

My wife does Walmart grocery pickup and they always slam the trunk so hard. I'm just curious if that is why this happened.

Crazing/stress cracks like that are probably not from trunk slams...more likely a factory fault. The good news is 'free new taillight day'.
Just to follow up on this. The ranger came out and replaced the taillight - he showed me that it was clearly a manufacturing defect as the cracks went all the through the light into the plastic casing.
