So I'm still processing today's news. Does this mean that the cloth standard interior was NEVER made, and everyone taking delivery this weekend was actually bumped to premium?
When we picked up our car today they had the cloth on the wall along with the other colors. I was thinking "um, shouldn't you take this down?"

It would be interesting if a few with cloth were made. Those will be unicorn Teslas.

Are textile seats still available for Models S and X? If so, maybe that's what those samples are for?

It certainly used to be the case.
It looks like it's no longer possible to order a Model S with textile seats. Everything is vegan leather now.

Friend of mine picked up his SR base model yesterday. Well, all base is the price. He got a SR + with partial premium interior. His range is not even limited. They told him the software to limit the range is not ready yet, but he might get it. He also has full heated seats and everything....again, supposedly no limiting software yet.
Pretty cool, he basically saved an easy 10k.
Me as an early adaptor....well.....we got screwed on our RW LRs....especially that I paid 5k for EAP, and now I have to pay another 5k for FSD.

That's too bad. The Model S textile seats are actually really nice. Tesla has done a good job picking/paying for the best cloth and best vinyl materials for seats.

Also, does this mean the SR+ config I ordered 6 weeks ago @$49k that now costs $47k - I should be able to get a 'correction' to my order since I still haven't gotten a VIN?
Quick followup - after emailing my Delivery Specialist, 24 hours later my financing package is $1000 less than before I sent the email. If you've ordered, but not yet gotten a VIN, I highly suggest you contact Tesla to get a price adjustment (if it's in your favor).

Would you mind having him (or you) update this thread with the software limitation details once it comes out?

Thanks!
