So just received an email for my 2nd model 3 configuration and I'm debating between keeping my model S revised 75 or configurating and trading in my S for the 3 long range. What do everyone think? Any good review comparing the two that you recommend I look at. The thing I like so far on the 3 is the range and still getting use to the look but what are everyone thought, what would I do? Stay with the S or switch to the 3, is the 3 any better?

Do you already have a First Production Model 3?

I'd lean towards waiting for AWD or a P model for a second reservation. That would also allow you to hold off a little longer before making this decision.

My dad is picking up his tomorrow, I reserve an order thinking that I might be interested in trading in my S but starting to see a few non employees picking up their cars already so now deciding do I cancel my reservation and keep the S or take the plunge and switch from the S to the 3?

Even if you don't want first production I would not cancel the reservation. You may decide you want one of the other options when they are available so why not keep your place at the front of the line?

true, anyone who switch from an S to a 3 and have any regrets. I'd choose the long range but since I live out in Cali not sure if I'd need awd and so if I do wait it would be for the performance model or maybe even holding off for the Y which would be my choice if it was available now

As someone still waiting for my first Tesla, my gut is to tell you not to trade it in so I can get one a little sooner (maybe).

From what I've heard (and my own personal opinion), the Model 3 is superior in many ways that actually matter to folks.

It's missing some of the software features that the S and X currently have (and also some of the storage space), but it's hardware has been well designed to fix some physical features that in some cases are missing from the previous cars (door pockets, lighted vanity mirror, more secure frunk).

If you're not sure, maybe wait for the car to gain more software feature parity (and for a test drive) before making a switch if you still feel that you want to.
