Aside from RPM Tesla’s overlays and the alleged scammers in Chicago claiming to produce carbon fiber replacement parts, is anyone else manufacturing quality CF parts for the center console? I’m sure it’s a challenging project to disassemble the center console and replace each of the glossy black surfaces with carbon fiber pieces, not to mention the NFC issue, but I’d love to find someone who has taken on that challenge. Thanks!

After more than 3 months of waiting, the guy I bought my carbon fiber interior pieces finally shipped them and I'll get them on Tuesday. These aren't a wrap or that polyurethane carbon fiber cheap looking stuff others are selling. It's real molded carbon fiber. Just praying that it all fits.

The guy in Chicago isn't a scammer. He just takes forever and is a terrible businessman. He makes some beautiful carbon fiber though. He finally shipped me my stuff yesterday and I'll get it on Tuesday. I'll post pictures when it's all installed. My experience with him has been pretty exhausting to say the least but as long as what he sent fits, it will have been worth the wait.

Looks amazing from the pics I was contemplating the same thing but there are no good ones to do it around here.

Why did it take 3 months and may I ask the range of how much it cost?

Looking forward to your install. I too was going to place an order but was hesitate with the feedback everyone had about the guy. Couldn’t justify placing an order and having to track it down everytime for an update. Hopefully there will be a point in which sets are in stock and ready to ship.

You have exactly 15 minutes to install all pieces, upload pictures and share how much this cost. Hopefully steering wheel and door pieces too?

@theloneranger08,

Nice but I just can’t do the gloss......does he offer Matte CF? Have a link or contact for him? (You can PM me if preferred-cost estimate as well?)

I paid $900 for the center console pieces and the wood trim replacement. I think it took so long because he had to redo the molds for the center console pieces to make them fit better. It's been frustrating as hell working with him but he makes beautiful carbon fiber so what do you do? Lol

I've got a steering wheel and carbon fiber seatbacks coming in three weeks. Those we're $2500 for all of it. The seatbacks will have white leather pouches to match my interior and the steering wheel will truly be one of a kind. It'll have gloss carbon fiber on the bottom and top with white leather on the sides. It'll also have a matte strip of carbon fiber at the 12 o'clock position (RPM and TSportline don't do this) and have carbon fiber ingrained on the sides and around the wheel (RPM and TSportline don't do this). Lastly, it'll have a white leather wrapped airbag cover. There's also something custom I'm getting done to the seatbacks but y'all will just have to wait and see. :)

Yep

Wow! Looks impressive. I look forward to hearing about how it all fits and looks. Thanks for the reply.
You bet! I also have white carbon fiber steering wheel and seatbacks with white pouches coming so I'll post pictures when I get everything installed. It's going to look incredible. So happy I'm not settling for cheap crap from RPM

Here's the seatbacks I'm getting. Below that is a steering wheel for another car but it's similar to what I'm getting (gloss CF on the top and bottom) but mine will have a strip in white to surround the matte CF, not red. It's also going to have white leather on the sides instead of alcantera and a white airbag cover. Lastly, below that is a steering wheel with the CF ingrained on the sides of the wheel so you guys can see what I'm talking about for that.

I reached out to him via IG and he tells me that the carbon fiber will indeed block the NFC reader in the center console. This doesn’t concern me for day to day driving, but I hear the center console NFC reader is required when programming a new key card, phone or fob. If true, that’s somewhat concerning.

Looking forward to your install pics!

Yeah I'll need to talk to him about that. He's apparently working on some sort of extender. His original solution involved the keycard going into a slit in the center console which was awesome but apparently required some modifications to do so. Wish Tesla had done it like this in the first place.... But yeah maybe I'll buy like 6 more key cards and program them now (they're like $10 for 2 of them I think) so I don't have to worry about it. lol
