I was looking for a car cover when I came across this thread, https://teslaownersonline.com/threads/car-cover.5549/.

I'll be parking the car outdoors, under trees and figured a cover would protect it. Then I read about the scratches they can cause on the first page of that thread. They also seem like a hassle to be constantly taking on and off (plus having to store when not in use).

Now I'm wondering if a clear vinyl wrap of some sort that doesn't take away from the OEM paint job isn't a better option for protecting the car.

This was the first link I clicked googling so I haven't researched any further, but anyone have experience with something like this?

http://phenomenalvinyl.com/services/paint-protection-film/

This seems easier to clean (wipe) without risking scratches. I've used similar clear wraps to protect my phone, why not my car too?

Thanks

Ah, yeah I didn't see many based on "vinyl car wrap"..so maybe this thread will help others get to "ppf" in the future too. Will check out those threads/ppf search.

Thank you
