I saw a post about aftermarket Model 3 badges, and while I don't see the point, I thought I'd start a poll to get the public opinion.

I picked no, but not for the reason stated in the poll. I just think cars look cleaner without bashing and had the car come with a badge saying “Model 3” or “75” or “Long Range”, I probably would have removed it anyway ;)

Likewise. But more because I want the stealth look on this car as opposed to thinking badges are pointless. Perhaps another choice could be added: No, because I don’t want to add badges to my Model 3.

I think the only thing I would put on would be he T E S L A stretched out across the trunk. I've seen some places call it the "Franz" style... Looks pretty good to me.

Added a response based on the feedback. Now you can pick "No because I'd prefer a cleaner, stealthier look without badges"

I did pick up a "Model 3" badge that is in the same location and has the same font and size as the Model S and X. I'm not embarrassed to have a Model 3, and I don't understand why Tesla left off the model name on the back. I don't see any Model S or X owners "de-badging" their cars.

BTW, I did de-badge my Focus Electric. I removed the Focus badge, so it just says "Electric."

I suspect leaving the model badge out for the 3 may represent a new direction for the brand - i.e. you can tell the vehicle by looking at it, without the need for a badge. I wonder if future X and S redesigns will leave badges out too. I hope they do and will look cooler for having done so.

Might as well leave the "T" off and keep 'em guessing. In fact, in a nod to socialism, we might just want to take the badges off all cars, and everyone can have a cool car.

It's not "de-badging" in this case because most of us never received a badge in the first place so we are just leaving the cars in the same state we got them in.

IMO adding a badge afterwards seems silly, it's easy to spot a M3 in my opinion and I don't feel the need to advertise the fact that I have an AWD and/or LR model.
