Interesting. that's going to make the 300's a bit confusing.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference but I seem to recall that the RCs had an "X" in the check digit position and the production vehicles seem to have a number in this position (9th position of VIN)

Found one posted on TMC described as "Start of Production" and no X in 9th VIN position. The white interior and 315 on the side sure make it look like an RC though. There goes the 'X' theory?

I believe the Texas car (259) was produced in August... So hard to tell based on delivery time.

According to the owner his car #259 was built on August 23 just after noon so 5 WEEKS AGO. Becha they have built a 'few' since then

We can't see the VIN, but considering this was taken on the factory line yesterday, it's definitely the newest car seen:

This one has a child seat in the back, so it's been on the road for a little while at least... Which is good news.

Hopefully! But having just installed and uninstalled a car seat 3 out of 3 days this week in my model x rental, it takes all of 2 minutes each time.

Sure. Just pointing out that the car wasn't sitting there waiting to be picked up for the first time by it's new owner.

It also may have been produced as far back as late August, as we know #259 was produced on August 23rd and delivered about 3 weeks later.
