It appears that the Model 3 "final reveal" and "delivery event" are most likely in fact one and the same.

In the most recent referral program one of the rewards is a ticket for 2 to the Model 3 delivery event to be held later this year and Elon has been saying the final reveal will happen "closer to production".
Combined with a short video clip that I recall seeing back in November at the Avaya stadium during the Q3 Tesla party I think the evidence is getting clearer that Tesla is going to hold a massive party to celebrate the Model 3 release.

"Party of the decade" as Elon mentions in the clip. Watch and let us know what you think...

I took that to mean an internal company party after the Model 3 is released, not specifically speaking to the Model 3s release. The audio quality is trash in the clip though, so maybe I missed something, but rewatching it now I got the same impression I has last fall.

I don't think they're going to be doing 2 events for the Model 3, why not make one big party for some press, referral winners and employees? Let's just hope they don't pull a fast one like the Model S and X and "deliver" 6 cars.

in the video he does say "when Model 3 is up to full production we will have the party of the decade", which would be 2019/2020? not at the start of deliveries.

We are approaching the one year anniversary of the first reveal. If Tesla is not going to do anything, what should we do?

What songs should we sing?

“Auld Lang Syne.” No, too sad.

“When I Wish Upon a Star.” NO wishful thinking allowed, we’re data driven.

“Happy Days are Here Again.” Maybe, but it’s a little early

Suggestions?

The audio is so bad I can't be sure what was said. I can see them holding a public/media reveal like the first one in July and then a giant staff party for Tesla staff somewhere after hitting 5000 per week. For a song I suggest the Boss "Meet me in the land of hope and dreams." That is where Elon's train is headed.
