All,

I know the Design Studio for the Model 3 is not up yet or even available.
We don't even know what Options will be offered.

Trev has a Sticky Poll on your "Model 3 Budget" which I think is great. Please participate and vote!
Trev, maybe you can do a poll on "Model 3 Options". I don't know how we'd arrange the order but something like:

What Options you'd order in Descending preference, i.e. First Choice, Second Choice, etc./ Highest to lowest to more closely resemble your Model 3 Budget Poll.
How much you'd spend on options.
Or what options you're even considering in your build, which would expand on his "Budget Poll" by digging deeper into what Consumers are 'Optioning' on their Model 3 Builds.

We could look at (I have) the Model S Design Studio for probable options and pricing on the Model 3 to affect the Budget Poll.

For me I'm looking at Optioning most likely:

(1)Extended Battery/Middle level or highest level (for max range)
(2)Panoramic Glass Roof
(3)AutoPilot and maybe Summon (both a pay up front and Software Turnon and Upgrade Path)
(3)Smart Air Suspension
(4)21" over 19" wheels
(5)that ghostly metallic Silver Paint

Not sure or sold yet on:

-Ultra High fidelity sound
-Premium lighting
-SubZero weather package
-Ludicrous Mode
-Towing Package

Here are the options I'm looking for:
  1. Supercharging (because Supercharging Capable, as listed on the website, doesn't mean Supercharging will be free)
  2. Red Paint w/ Lighter colored interior (most companies charge for this, but if there are no charges, I'm happy)
  3. Extended Battery or dual motor option (if dual motor option adds the additional battery range)
  4. AutoPilot (since this would likely be a software upgrade like how it is on the Model S, I would purchase this out of pocket)
  5. Glass Roof or Sun Roof Option
  6. 19 or 21" black rims
I would be willing to spend up to 13K for those (I'm assuming that autopilot would be around the same 2.5K, at which I would purchase that out of pocket and hope to only add 10K to the car or less.

Items that I'm interested in depending on the price and if I can squeeze it in would be:
  1. Air Suspension
  2. Ludicrous Mode
Items that I'm on the fence about:
  1. Ultra High Fidelity Sound
Items with zero interest (I would purchase only if it was part of a bundle that added items I wanted):
  1. Premium Lighting
  2. SubZero weather package (I live in Texas... If it snows where I live, NO ONE is traveling anywhere... because people here can't drive in cold weather)
  3. Towing Package

Done! I couldn't add all the options you mentioned as the system is limited but it should suffice.

So, after talking to a friend of mine (who also preordered), that air suspension may be moving up my list. One of the things that I have to always think about is dealing with steep angle driveways (almost all of the time) or dirt/rocky roads (not often, but sometimes). Having the ability to raise or lower the car for that might be a good idea.

TrevP,

Thanks Trev! Great Work.....exactly what I had in mind and a really helpful thread and poll. Too bad you're limited on the amount of items you could add. Still informative though on what Buyers are preferencing for Options.

P.S. Still working on that other issue, I'll let you know.

My choice would be the middle sized, larger battery (No ludicrous mode), metal roof and the wife is hoping for the same pearl white that the model S has available.

What's the difference between a panoramic glass roof and an all glass roof?

Cogarch,

Panoramic is glass, however it also has a touchscreen operable Sunroof that you can 'Vent' Open, fully open 100%, or use the 'Slider' button on the Touchscreen Pad to open as a % (percentage) of full (at least on the S). All glass is just all glass, a "Solid" piece (no Sunroof).

I want an awd, matte paint (up in the air on color), larger battery, air suspension and maybe a panoramic roof.

As a few people have mentioned their indifference as to the "High Fidelity Sound" option, keep in mind that this is an electric car!

The entire sound experience is very different to that in an ICE vehicle.

A sound upgrade in my current car would be a complete waste of money, but for my Model 3, good sound is one of the things I very much look forward too, though listening to the following song will feel a bit anachronistic...

Im holding out for AWD and the (hopefully) associated performance package...both top of my list in regards to options :)
