Got a bit impatient with the Model 3 wait times in the Uk and bought a pre-owned Model S, hopefully there will be some residual value in it to purchase a M3 when it comes out...

Just keep your Model S and don't bother with a 3. The S is a premium car with more features and performance as EM said himself recently so it is difficult to justify downgrading at a loss. In a few years I bet the Model 3 will be as common as Audis and Beemers plus the whole UK luxury tax fiasco gives you an added incentive to keep your S.

I would have gone for a Model S myself except for the fact that parking spaces are tiny around here plus I blew my entire savings on TSLA stock when it dipped which was a good decision but now I might keep the shares in USD till brexit ripples calm down.

Nothing wrong with buying a Model S, if I was not in a current lease I would consider it myself. Given prices in Canada however and the loss of the lower cost 60 I will wait for Model 3

Cool, happy with the deal I got.
Tesla reset the warranty back to new again. So I've still got 4 years / 50,000 miles. Can't think of another manufacturer that would contemplate offering this let alone actually doing it. The free Supercharger, free Spotify premium and maps and navigation as well.

Congrats! Don't think you made the wrong choice at all. I've been extremely tempted myself but could only afford a 2013 60d, not really worth it.

I don't mind admitting that although Elon promised $35,000 US dollars for the base model 3; with Brexit kicking in, I was worried about the exchange rate, import duty, VAT, our crazy new Road Tax so I think I've made the right choice.
As Jayc replied above, I've bought a premium car for what I probably would have paid for a base model 3, so very happy.

2014 - 85 - Metalic Blue, Sunroof, Tech Pack
Seems like me and you went very similar routes :) just picked up my 2014 Model S 85 Tech Package yesterday. Shes a beauty. Sadly though we don't have Spotify in our cars in the US. I just got off the phone with Tesla and they said all we use in the US in Slacker.:(

Congratulations on your purchase, unfortunately we aren't in such a good place!!! We received our invoice on 12 April with a 21 April delivery date. No call from the service centre though. Eventually left 6 messages centrally for our particular service centre to call us to arrange a date to pick up and eventually got a call back today. A very apologetic lady explained that our car is in the body shop for 3 weeks minimum from today for 2 new wheels, a new bumper (fender?) and other minor body repairs. We've sold our bloody car expecting to pick it up at the end of the week. After some serious complaining, they're going to get us a hire car. I've stated that I'll only except a Model S as I no longer want to have to visit a petrol (gas?) station and these kind of agreed, watch this space.

I understand your frustration. I too had a hard time getting a hold of the LOCAL delivery team, but my agent at Tesla regional office was always easy to get a hold of. She gave me her cell phone number and said I could call her any time ( I of course respected normal working hours ). I also had Easter weekend in the mix which delayed some things a bit, but once I got a hold of the local team, about 3 days after I thought I'd hear from them, it went very smoothly from there. I had offers to sell my current car before I picked up my new car, but my specialist told me it could take up to a month depending on what/if anything is wrong with the car, so I held onto it on the off chance it took the full month to get it. The reason I chose this car was because it didn't require the 2,000$ transportation fee and was everything I wanted using the Telsainventory search. That website did wonders for me.

Hope everything gets going fast with your new ride. You'll love it once you get it :) I've driven 250 miles in 2 days cause I just cant stop driving lol. Got free supercharging and used one last night for the fun of it. Thing charges so damn fast its not even funny!

Couldn't resist. Just pulled the trigger on a CPO S85 with rear-facing seats. Sold the wife on 7 seats and cargo space. Good news - still keeping the Model 3 reservation!
Congrats! We can understand if you can do this...! Let's see pics, ok?
And yeah, hold on to the reservation!! :)
