New Release: New Popular Combinations Report now available.

See how battery, drive and drive train configuration options are being combined.

I've sent an email out to record owners where there are some invalid combinations. If you pick performance, you'll likely need AWD and the larger battery.

Count me in for maxing it out as long as the prices are reasonable.

I'm with you on that Trev.

I sincerely hope Tesla has learned its lessons from the Model X. It does seem like more and more spectacular options are popping up as we approach the final reveal. I think a lot of people would be disappointed if a (marketed) 35k vehicle comes in "nicely loaded" at nearly twice that (given currency conversions).

That being said, I still like my spot. I reserved Sept.3rd which probably puts me at delivery early 2019. Yes I'll max it out, so perhaps a shortened timeframe. I. also think it's a sweet (delivery) spot allowing the production line(s) to work out all the kinks.

So you wouldn't trade your "sweet spot" delivery date for one in early 2018 that's a bit buggy?

I wouldn't no.

Definitely liking where I am. Tesla dropped "Motors" from its name for a reason. It's really more of a tech company, and as anyone with a smartphone knows, 2 years in tech is a world of difference. I'm certain the first 100k Model 3's off the line will be outdated by the time it rolls into the 500k units.

Aside from tech, the other issues are the regulatory frameworks. I like my chances of enjoying full L5 autonomy closer to 2020 than 2018.

Current idea:
Support for a few global currencies and provide a predicted build price as well as collect individual pricing comfort level for options.

  • The currency model would be date based that will be updated based on Tesla known exchange rates in place (perhaps each quarter) as well as ability to put futures around the expected country deliveries.
  • Users will be able to see base USD and local pricing (if USD is not default for their reservation country). Users can then put in a range of comfort level that they expect or willing to pay.
  • A summary of Predicted Build Price will be available to the user in USD, their local currency, and their comfort level and the variances between them with current and predicted exchange rate.
Volunteer Responsibility
  • Help refine the requirements and review mockups and provide usability feedback
  • Help initial setup of country exchange rates and pricing options
  • Aid in unit testing, system testing and final User Acceptance Testing
  • If desired: join the team of co-admins and take a lead on this part of the tracker.
Ideally you'll have some IT support, QA, and/or good web UI experience.

PM me if interested or email admin@Model3Tracker.info

Thanks
Paul

Model3Tracker.info Summary Statistics 2016-11-19 10:00 PST: Range lovers remain supreme at 41.12%, Barebones 7.61% and Ludicrious 8.58%

Recent Observation: Since the announcement of the full self driving hardware, many contributors who've come back to update their record are moving towards having this feature activated. The ratio of enhanced Autopilot vs. Full Self Driving may be under reported. Its proving to be popular with new contributors too.

New Release: Estimated Pricing Beta

Estimate Pricing Beta Feature: Options now show an estimated pricing model.

This is only speculation and provides a guesstimate only. In most cases, this will exclude all taxes and fees, unless otherwise noted.

For the beta, the following countries will also have an estimated configuration total.
  • Canada
  • United States
  • Germany
  • Australia (with NSW estimated tax included price)
  • Norway
Note: The exchange rates used are currently based a Tesla Model S as of January 15, 2017.

Examples:
  • Euros conversion for a Model S stands around 0.96 and options around 0.94
  • Canada conversion for a Model S stands around 1.2 and options around 1.35
  • Norway conversion for a Model S stands around 8.8 and options around 8.2-8.5
  • UK conversion for a Model S stands around 0.96 and options around 0.93 to 0.95
  • Australia NSW for a Model S stands around 1.75 and options around 2.05 - 2.1 (AWD @ 1.6)
You can now also optionally enter your Model 3 budget for your configuration or provide your maximum budget.

(Note: updated exchange rates at 5pm due to incorrect USD base battery pricing used.

Yikes! I just configured my Model 3 and came out with an estimated $113,149 CDN. If that is anywhere near the actual price, I will have to dial back some options.

Yea, your's is very close to fully loaded. Mine is $ 114,094. Hopefully the exchange rate will be better on the base & more fair on the options.

I'll be quite happy if option pricing lands where you've estimated. My configuration comes to $47,600USD and had in my mind it would b e just around $50k.
base battery, Dual, multicoat paint, leather, decor, premium package, EAP, SAS, glass roof

Updated my preferences and mine came out to $41,300. AWD, Blue Paint and All Glass roof are the options I want the most, so they will be the last to cull if the price is too hiugh.

My config came to $56,900, a little more than I am willing to spend. Depending on AWD advantage in range, I would drop that and auto pilot since I live in Florida where you don't need AWD and can updgrade autopilot later if I wanted it. Max range, upgraded rims, high fidelity sound with white interior are my must haves.
