I’m wondering if Canadians can pay cash in USD. My wife is in the financial industry and I wouldn’t have to pay the spread when buying USDs. Would save me around $3500.00 at current rates.

As you know the Canadian price is in Canadian dollars. $64.1 CDN plus delivery. If your asking if you can pay the US price $49.0 USD plus delivery in US dollars I highly doubt it. It’s not straight up apples to apples. If your asking if you can pay the Canadian price $64.1 CDN in US currency best to check with Tesla.

You are wrong. :)

I just bought a new Hyundai. I financed through Hyundai (4.99%) in order to get another $500 off the price of the car. I immediately paid off that loan and got a new loan through my credit union (1.99%). I financed $19,002 and paid a total of $19,064. If I had kept paying the loan over 4 years, I would have ended up paying $22,141.
That's exactly what I'm planning to do with my Model 3. However, does anyone know if Tesla Lending incur penalty or not when I pay off the loan early?
