Oh dear, a British classic. Best of luck to you on your auction. Back when I used to own 2 Land Rovers, I heard from some of the Brit fans who would say lovely things about that car when it would work.

The car has been great fun over the 6 years I have had her and has been very reliable.Of course I have just been driving her for fun and not a daily transportation source. Being 50 years old, she needs some regular TLC...kind of like me!

Nice car @Dan Detweiler

My dad has a couple of classic cars: 1961 Corvette and a 1956 T Bird. Both are in beautiful condition.

@Dan Detweiler,

Congrats Dan! You're on your way.... One step closer to your Model 3!!! :)

Yeah, now the hard part. Setting aside the monthly allotment that will get me where I want to be by delivery. My goal is to only finance about $25,000...and I plan on getting my Model 3 pretty tricked out. Only thing I really don't want to pay for is Ludicrous and uprated wheels.

I don't think I could part with my Mustang, and it's the run-of-the-mill 'deluxe' hardtop, no matter the price it could get.

DONT SELL IT!

Makes me nostalgic for mine. I got a '66 coupe when I was 16 for $900. Had 289 with a C4. Spent tons of money on it when I could. But it was nonstop. Sold it when I was 30. :( Wish I kept it at times but I actually love my LEAF more! No gas, safer and no hassles....cept for that range issue...

Ha! True but the memories of driving that thing around SoCal in the 80's...priceless.

Dan, Badbot,
You guys are KILLING me!
I just wrote a blog piece for Plug In America (supposed to be published in August) and a large part of it is how I think EV rapid adoption by enthusiats for daily transport is essential for two reasons. The more important one is that gearheads tend to be the trend-setters and prime influencers among their immediate social and professional circles and as such can have a disproportiantely higher effect in getting others to join in, but the other is that the faster we switch to electric for essential transportation needs, the more safe headroom will be left for preservation and enjoyment of of ICE history on both street and track. Meaning I'm picturing a future where your respective driveways will have a Model 3 for weekdays and long trips, and a beautiful classic like the 'stang or TR6 for weekend cruising. I totally get why you have to let them go, I'm in the same boat, but in my case a propoerly eqipped 3 should do everything my modded A4 Quattro will do and better. I have tremendous respect for you both being able to part with those lovely, unique cars for the Cause. Here's hoping the future is fortuitous enough for you to maybe get them back one day...

Well, not sure I sold it for truly humanitarian, for the Cause, reasons but thanks non the less. She had to go because there was literally no room in the inn anymore. My youngest is going to need transportation at the end of next year and by then the Volt will be paid off so it will go to him. That leaves me needing a ride and what could be better than a Model 3?

I guess I need to sell my 1966 mustang. I have owned it less than 18 months. Body and Paint were done when I got it. I have done most of the additional upgrades. I love this car but Tesla 3 forces sale. It was picked for the local car clubs 7th annual car show T shirt I framed one. It was also in 2 parades but I only got copies of 1 of the newspapers. I am in Southern California Near Victorville Hope to get close to 23k for it. If anyone is interested let me know. Posting here works.

Beautiful car. I highly recommend Bring A Trailer. Just sold my TR6 through them. Very positive experience.
