Hi,

I just took delivery of my Model3 last night, literally sat in the car around 1:30 am. Because of all the crazy last night they offered me 1 year free supercharging in the phone as a ‘redemption bonus’. I checked with the advisor on site and they told it will be activated starting October.

My question: where do I see that it is actually really active and how much of the 1 year I have left, is there a status page for supercharging somewhere?

And sorry if that is the most trivial and newb question.

Thanks for your help,

Dirk

How did you get this promotion because prior to taking delivery on Saturday 9/29, I asked my sales rep and delivery specialist over the phone and they told me that was not available and that the Electrek article was incorrect. Also, I was under the impression that the model 3 would get the 400kwh of annual supercharging, but this link is stating something different: https://www.tesla.com/support/supercharging. I had an opportunity to get a used Model S with free supercharging at the same or lower price than my model 3, but now I feel duped.

the 400kWh was never offered on the Model3, only the S & X.
as far as the particulars for some being offered supercharging to compensate, I am sure it is specific to particular issues. It has not been a given at all. Most all the deliveries that have happened in the last week or so had previously been bumped from a scheduled time, and very few were compensated, so don't feel like you missed out on something. It wasnt something widely offered for sure.

Thanks for that info. Can you tell me and the OP where we would see any credits, if any, for our vehicle. I believe they stated 1 yr free supercharging, I should have received $100 credit. I should have paid more attention to the Tesla site (and this forum) instead of Electrek, lol. I guess it was just information overload for me. You live and learn. Myrtle Beach here we come!

...why did I get the 1year S.C.? I had such a crazy circus experience with them over the last 48h that they felt really bad.

They contacted me Saturday around 6pm that I can pick up my car Sunday, it all happened so blazing fast, financing, insurance, transport etc. while I was organizing everything on my end they sold my car, then offered me a replacement but misplaced my car 2h before delivery Sunday, then they found it again but offered me another one in another color in the meantime and located it again in their system while they were offering me the other one. It was madness to the point where I had no energy left.

All in all even with all the madness and craziness on the last day of the quarter, they went far and beyond to make it happen. The Fremont hub was packed and people were volunteering, everyone was super nice and patient. Finally, Monday morning around 2:30 I arrived home in my new M3...

...that’s how I got the 1 year SC

With what you went through, you definitely deserved more, but glad they gave you what they did. I'm stressed just reading it, I can't imagine having to go through it.

Unfortunately, the story does not end and I am struggling a bit with my Owner Advisor trying to downplay delivery issues...

Little background to the Model3 I received: In the end they offered me a showroom car with some mileage on it and gave me a price adjustment of $2190 to reflect the usage - that adjustment was before I received 1-year free supercharging for the delivery nightmare that happened later.

Since I took delivery in the middle of the night, I was obviously unable to properly inspect the vehicle but my delivery advisor assured me that I have 3 days to document and photograph any issues if there are any and they fill fix it. So far so good.

The next day I had a chance to actually inspect the car and noticed that:
> The rear seat have white stains all over the place, in wide patches, it's like a murder scene.
> A scratch/scuff on the rear light/charge point side.
> There is some weird sticky material on the vanity mirrors (both sides @ the illuminating side) > easy fix
> The only other thing I noticed was a weird localized wind noise coming from the front passenger side.
> Tire pressure sensors are on for 2 wheels > so that's an easy fix

Otherwise the car is in impeccable shape.

Anyways, I documented all the issues and send them a pdf file with pictures and markups. I understand that I will have to accept some wear and tear and I am fine with that, within reason. I get that there will be some occasional light scratches (and I literally found just the one) since you will eventually get them anyways, no matter how well you take of the car...there are unfortunately other people around you that do not care.

The rear seat on the other hand is a just not right, it looks like someone spilled something or they used a cleaner and just dropped it all over the place it just looks a little bit like a murder scene and I am really concerned that this is a permanent damage

My email was polite and basically just stating all the issues and mentioning that my best guess is that due to the quick turnaround for only 48h the probably just needs some TLC cleaning and professional detailing - all just easy fixes, pretty cosmetic. My biggest concerns were the back seats and the wind noise.

My owner advisor now replied and is basically trying to downplay everything and dismissing this in an umbrella 'sorry for the inconvenience' but since I already received a discount and supercharging there is nothing that they can do. But they will offer a professional detailing in one of their service centers. I am fine with that but just sounds weird to me to just dismiss the whole thing, what happens if the car come back and the back seats still look like a murder scene and this just stays permanent?

Any advice from the professionals of how to deal with delivery issues when you owner advisor is basically flipping you off as if you just bought a 10 years old used car in a back alley?

Yes, when I left my delivery specialist had another 4 Model 3's to finish. I was already exhausted but kudos to the men and women and all the volunteers at the Fremont Hub - it was madness.

Hi,

My question: where do I see that it is actually really active and how much of the 1 year I have left, is there a status page for supercharging somewhere?
I’ve read through this thread and have not seen this basic question answered. I think it is also relevant to everyone (including me) who has the 6 months free supercharging from a referral. My Tesla account just says pay per use, and the car likewise gives no indication of the limited time free supercharging. I am assuming a date will be defined at which time it will end, but I’ve not seen this, nor any confirmation that it has even started.

I sent this question to Tesla several days ago and have not received a response.

Actually, it’s still quite a work in progress. My account also states ‘pay per charge’. The first 3 visits at the SC were fine and no charge to my credit card but after that I was all of a sudden charged. Don’t know if it had something to do with updating to v9 but I am going back and forth with a inside adviser to solve the issue about this. Tesla now sumbmitted the case again. So, seems not be a straightforward thing for them to figure out. Just today I asked whether I will be reimbursed for the charges already made to my credit card and as a reply I got:’ From what I am being told yes, they will be reimbursed.’ Well, let’s see what happens...apparently, patience is a virtue in all matters with my delivery.

That being said, my M3 is at the San Francisco service center for the 3rd time now, this time they try to address:

- alignment problem, car shifts to the right
- wind noise, 2nd time
- color imperfections (my metallic silver has quite some imperfections)
