anyone know if you lease the model s do you jump to the front of the line to get the model 3? if so, can you get out of the lease once your model 3 is ready to order? any fees involved in doing this?

You are on the hook for the terms of the lease. So, no.

here's the language on Tesla's Delivery FAQ page:

Q: Is early buyout allowed? If so, what's involved in breaking a lease?
A: The lease does contain provisions for early termination. Generally, terminating a lease early can be very expensive, often involving costs of several thousands of dollars. Customers who lease should do so expecting to remain in it for the full 36 months.
