Wow, all the headlines.
No, don't bother reading any of them. They don't elaborate about the "tent" beyond the headline.

tent : a collapsible shelter of fabric (such as nylon or canvas) stretched and sustained by poles and used for camping outdoors or as a temporary building.

The "Tesla Tent" is not fabric, nor is it collapsible. It is a prefab steel building. There are many companies that produce and sell these. They're useful when you need something quick and cheap. But they are not tents.

Example: Rhino Steel Metal Buildings Gallery

Actually, I believe this is a tent structure. They are used extensively in the arctic, and other remote areas for hangers, equipment storage, etc. They are a metal frame support structure covered in a stretched fabric. They are very durable and can last 10-20 years or more before needed to be recovered. I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that’s what Tesla is using.

This Twitter account has several up-close videos of the tent.
(PS: they seem to be taken a few days ago when it was not quite finished, and the account might have an anti-Tesla interest)

EDIT: It has now been determined that these videos were taken a week earlier!

They are manufactured by a company called Sprung, whose website notes that it is not a tent but rather a "patented membrane structure."

I am VINDICATED!!!!!
I don’t think so. This is definitely not a prefab steel structure. It is fabric over a metal frame. Fancy name for a tent.

Yeah, retweeting the April 3 2018 Seeking Alpha "Tesla's Bond Plunge" is kind of a giveaway. :)
