See attached file for what my 3's charge port door looks like. Is that normal? It feels... wrong, but I just don't know.
My first charge port wasn’t flush and replacement charge port isn’t flush though it’s more flush then what you’re showing.

Yes. In car manufacturing 101 it should likely be flush. Some have had them adjusted and some replaced and quite certain that Tesla has told many others it is within specs. Check with your SC and you may get some help or they may just say it is within spec.

This is from a late May build. Pretty happy with it. Sorry pic is kind of dark.

OK, I'll send my local SC an email with detailed pics, and see if they think it's worth bringing the car in to repair the door.

Thanks!

The OP’s sticks out like mine. The fake door on the right side of my car is the opposite— it sinks in too far. I’m taking my car in next week to see if these can be fixed. The showroom car’s charge port door and my friend’s model 3 also were not flush. Maybe a little worse than mine and the OPs. I still think they should be flush, though.

We have a similar issue. When we left our first supercharger on the way home from taking delivery, the charge port door didn't want to close. I'd hit the button on the screen, it'd close, then it'd immediately open all the way back up. It did this about 6 times before it decided to stay closed. It appears slightly misaligned, so that's likely the issue. Hopefully one of their mobile repair folks can fix it so we don't have to drive over an hour to the service center.
