I just rotated the tires my friends 2018 X, I now know not to do this. We drove a little and heard the screech, returned home and inspected the front. The rear wheel rubbed a little on the steering knuckle. The wheel had a little paint removed, nothing else, the steering knuckle has a small rub on it, not deep, just shiny. I contacted a service department and they said its happened before, to put the wheels in the right location, and everything is ok. Is this correct? Should I worry about anything

Which wheels does he have?
Is it a staggered set?

You can only rotate staggered wheels side-to-side (if the tread pattern is not directional). NEVER front-to-rear.

As an aside some FWD vehicles have the wider rims on the front wheraas all RWD and most AWD cars have wider ones on the rear.

What was your problem I have vibrationin the steering wheel at high speeds
Go get your wheels balanced. High-speed vibrations are usually caused by a wheel that's out-of-balance.
