With Hurricane Irma due to arrive over the weekend, we seem to be officially out of gas in South Florida. I have 150 miles of range and no way too add more :(

Wishing you and all other South Floridians as you face the wildness of nature soon...

On a lighter note (if you'll allow me...), hopefully you'll maintain internet...

Seriously, take care!

Oh goodness. Leave now before north Florida runs out of gas.

My dad's in Ocala. He just filled up his motorhome on Monday in case he needs to make a getaway before the weekend.

Are you planning to get out of there?
I'm hearing that Miami may call a mandatory evacuation as soon as today. Traffic is going to get bad.

Working today, shutters going up tomorrow.

I'm one county north of Miami-Dade.

The current plan is to stay for sure as the forecast shifted the storm a bit east which keeps us on the "clean" side of the storm.

My dad told me that they've now run out of gas in Ocala.

Are you still planning to ride out the storm at home, @SoFlaModel3 ?

Yeah --- no flights out. I decided to start shutters after work tonight and got 25% of the house done. I should be done before lunch time tomorrow. Leaving is risky ... we drive 500 miles and no one has gas, we're still in Florida and stuck in the middle of nowhere. Time to hunker down!

Thanks! Shutters are up at my house and my parent's house so nothing to do now but wait.

If you change your mind you guys can stay with us in Riverview.
Much appreciated! I think we are locked in to riding it out.

leaving from Tampa after work today heading to Atanta
That was our initial thought for evacuating but at ~640 miles (plus a dog and 2 little ones) there was the fear of getting stuck in the middle of nowhere without gas.
