As long as you want. It could be as short as 30 minutes to just sign paperwork. It could be 2 hours if you want to do a thorough inspection on the car and attend the training sessions.

We've picked up two of them in the past month. We were late to both 4 PM appointments due to traffic. First time the DS talked to us for 1.5 hrs (no one else was getting their cars after 5 pm but us). Today we showed up at 4:45 and they close at 5. The DS answered my questions for about 45 minutes and didn't rush us one bit. In TX all of the paperwork is handled before you arrive so it's mainly to inspect the car, set up your phone, and ask any questions.

Taking delivery next Saturday. Trying to figure out how much time I should expect at the delivery center picking up the car. Can anyone advise how long they were there for?

We got the car in Fremont, and it took about 1:15 to 1:30. There were two extra people there in addition to delivery specialists. It is interesting to listen to them when they are talking to other people. You will hear then answering questions you didn't think of.

My ISA emailed me my delivery confirmation today and it states my scheduled time is 30 minutes. I would note that my location does do "orientation" but they hold those for groups for the 3 separately and not during the deliveries.

I'll have to see how long my delivery lasts. I figure their estimate is probably pretty good unless we get to chatting. I've also request to order a couple small items that I'll pick up that day, but I wouldn't expect it to add to the delivery time in any meaningful way.

I think we were less than an hour in Sodo. There were two of us and we were both a little early, so received Orientation a little early. Paperwork was easy. Folks there were wonderful.

Took delivery 5/12 in San Diego. I was there less than an hour. It was a little too fast in my opinion, felt a little rushed

I'm now a little over a week out from delivery. Delivery itself took 40 minutes, tops. As I mentioned, my location offers "orientation" for new owners (a week or so ahead of delivery), though from what I gather, those events are pretty rudimentary, so anyone who reads these forums or keeps up on new owner experiences over the last few months is probably well-versed on those topics already. Still, they also offer it as a Q&A outlet, so there may be some value to them.

My DS asked me how familiar I was with the car and I suggested that I'd seen everything short of having sat in one in person. He still spent a good 30 minutes with me going over the basics and left some time at the end for questions. I wouldn't say it felt like they were rushing me out the door, and I'm sure if I'd asked for extra time to closely look everything over, they'd have probably been fine with it. That said, I didn't really feel like I had a whole lot of time to look the car over during the actual delivery, other than when he went to grab the final paperwork (which itself took barely more than 5 minutes). Thankfully though, there were no major issues. I did notice a very small scratch in the bumper and some light dirt on the visor, both of which I can probably fix myself without too much hassle.

About 75 minutes for me. I was not rushed and they did do a software update for me while I was there. If it hadn't been for the software update I'd say it would have been 50 minutes. They were super friendly and I was not rushed. A few folks sorta listened in while I got the overview on the car. I think they were getting theirs after me. We are all so friendly in the South that we join in each others sessions. They were delivering an S at the same time and someone after me was getting an X. We were all interested in each others cars!

Picked up the car yesterday. We got their early as traffic was lighter than expected. We sat in the cafe and had a coffee till they texted us that the car and DS was ready which was about 10 minutes before our scheduled pickup time. We walked back into the hall and he walked right up to us.

Quick initial look at the car, some paperwork (ACH transfer, sign three times) and then he pulled the car around front where we had as much time as we wanted to inspect the car. For us that only took about 15 minutes. Car was perfect, really nothing to note from fit/finish/paint/interior. They are getting this right.

We ended up spending about 30-40 minutes total (other than the time in the cafe), but honestly it could have been 15 if we had wanted.

I think if one has the paperwork done upfront, payments have been arranged, and if you've got your plan for vehicle review, you could be in and out in 15-20 minutes easy. No need to rush it though.

Oh, and not a first day line waiter but the small Model 3 toy was in the middle console. I think it's probably just easier for them to put it in the car, than to have to filter which buyer should have it added. IMHO

Very quick. A total of maybe 40 minutes, with all the time being spent to go over the car. Paperwork was 5 minutes at most (just signing dmv related papers).

Only two at my delivery of Quicksilver. Overall, about 90 minutes spent with the car before I drove her home. There was no rush at all since those were the only two afternoon deliveries they had.

Picked up our Model 3 today, but...

Did the paperwork first, took about 15 minutes at the most. Then we spent a while going over the car.

We found a couple of minor issues, asked a few questions. They took the car in the back and corrected the issues while we waited. The look over of the car and the correcting of issues took about an hour.

When they brought the car back to the front they said we were all set to drive it off; and we did.

Not until we got past the point-of-no-return on the drive home did we realize we hadn't been given ANY copies of the purchase documents we'd handled in the first 15 minutes we were at the delivery center.
We forgot, but what's worse, the delivery specialist never gave them to us.
