I removed mine, but it wasn’t accidental. I can’t say it was for any good reason either though. Eye opening how much of the car is styrofoam.

Did the tabs on it break or can you snap it back in place? Well... first I guess I should ask, does it snap in place?

Second option... consider this like Lego, your assembly is complete and you have an extra piece!! :p

Is it actually styrofoam? The stuff that looks like styrofoam inside the bumpers in a lot of cars is actually much heavier, surprisingly so, because it's a denser closed-cell foam. They (and Tesla, likely) use it because it's lightweight and corrosion-proof, and it can take a beating without deforming or shattering. Ironically, depending on the design and formula, it's sometimes more expensive than plastic or aluminum for the same purpose.

You must not get a lot of snow. That's a catch all area for slush and salt. My daily vehicle leaves it exposed and there is salt all caked around the base of it.

But for aesthetics I see both sides
I was born and raised in So Cal so I've never even seen snow my entire life :)
