Hello,

Today is my first day of posting on the message boards after a few months of reading. I feel it is time to contribute and introduce myself as I am very excited to be a future Tesla owner. I live near Seattle, WA and reserved on April 1. I'm still torn on what model i'm going to choose when my number is called but i'm leaning towards the lesser range basic version. I wish I could afford more but we do not drive much and we are looking for a safe, efficient, sporty sedan and the $35K version seems to fit our families needs! We can always upgrade in the future once we get used too, and fall in love, with the Tesla lifestyle. This car is going to be a drastic upgrade from my 2015 Ford Fusion, which I do love. Ha!

I look forward to meeting you all virtually and looking forward to a potential Seattle meet up next year when we all have our Model 3's!

Thanks,
Brett

I also am from the Seattle area. Registered April 1, 2016 for a Model 3 but need only the standard model so that pushes me down the queue. Because of our weather, I do need the premium package to get the winter stuff. I'm estimating a final cost of $45k after adding all the extras--color ($1000), delivery cost ($1200), wheels ($1000), sales tax, and so on. My real question is the date of delivery. I'm beginning to think--based upon what Tesla's own estimator predicts and what Tesla pundits add--that my zipcode (Seattle) doesn't really matter much in determining date of delivery. Even with an early registration, Tesla predicts delivery in the 2Q, which might mean loss of $7500 tax credit.

Welcome to the site! You're $300 off. Delivery is $1,000 (cheaper than S and X which is $1,200) but the upgraded wheels are $1,500.

Out of curiosity, what are you considering the "winter stuff" in the premium package?
