As most car transactions go, you are generally charged more for transfer/tag fees than necessary.

Tesla charges $500.

In my case the fee to state of Florida was $109.60

Tesla cut a check for $390.40 and sent it to me on (or before) 3/16/2018, but I still don’t have it.

Just a heads up to watch for the check and follow up if you don’t receive it in a timely fashion!

If it’s $500 for everyone, I’m left wondering if I’ll owe on the registration.

It's possible that they adjust by state would be good to have someone outside of Florida confirm.

Just to follow up — my replacement check came in today and I picked it up from Tesla to avoid another lost check fiasco with USPS.

Random question of the day, where do I get this cone and would they notice if one was missing? :)

Tesla or an aftermarket vendor should sell these so people who park outside at home can "reserve" their space for charging. Sort of like the "Tesla parking" placards that have been around for awhile. :)
