Less than 72 hours from my scheduled delivery and my ISA said I should I expect to hear from the contracts department today. I know they normally are late with the MVPA but I have not gotten mine yet and wonder if they work on Sundays at all.

Thanks!

Was wondering that myself. My delivery is Tuesday and I'm in the same boat. My trade in info updated to the agreed-upon amount today though, so I guess that's a good sign.
My delivery is not until Wednesday so not as much crunch as you, yet. I'm trying not to worry about it since it doesn't matter if I get the contract today or first thing tomorrow since the banks are closed. But if I don't get it by noon tomorrow, I'll start stressing more.

Me too. I will post here after I get the MVPA to the CU.

Based on some other threads, it looks like they're still having issues with their contracts system. Even if it was back online, I'm sure this outage will cause delays for others.

I recommend you reach out to your ISA, or even your SC. Don't wait for them to reach out to you.

How much time before delivery day should I give before reaching out to my ISA? My delivery is scheduled 12 pm on Wednesday but I have to take delivery out of state so I cannot do anything with my CU on Wednesday.

On days I hear back on email or phone from my ISA, she's great. But like I said earlier, I think she takes Monday's off.

My fingers are crossed for us!

Heard back from both my ISA and the delivery center. Basically they are still behind on the contracts due to the technical issues from Friday and they are working to catch up. They don't know when I will get the MVPA but are hopeful I will get it by Wednesday, the day of delivery, because that is when they are supposed to be caught back up. The guy at the delivery center didn't want me to change any plans yet because the car is ready to go and they just need the paperwork and funds. My ISA wants to think about changing delivery because of the travel needed for it and the fact that she cannot promise anything. I really want this to go through this time.

I just heard back as well. I am in the same boat, contracts is the hold up. Car is ready, Tesla rep is ready to drive it to me, paperwork not so much. But they want me to hold on to plans to be home for delivery because they think they can have it done in time. It might just come down to the hour. If it wasn't through Tesla finance I wouldn't think it possible but they say they are willing to take an ACH day of. I sure hope so my work week goes to hell after tomorrow.

Good luck to us, and hang in there.

If they get it through for you, I have hope for me. Even though I need to finalize financing before making the 3.25 hour drive down to Columbus.

Yes, good luck!

#20 ·
Did you/are you going to reschedule?

#22 ·
Ugh. I don't even have the option to finance through Tesla. Good luck.
If my CU can get the financing finalized quickly while I'm already in Ohio I plan on going down so that maybe that will put some more pressure on them. This is just insane.

Same boat here. Delivery was set for today at 10 am in Fremont, my ISA pushed it to 3:45 PM with no guarantee the contract would show up. I'm financing through tech cu and they need the final agreement. Tesla said they'd take take the ACH same day so I'm hoping by some miracle this works out .

Is anyone getting contracts? What the hell...

Just got an email from the delivery center:

As you know we are always improving our products, processes, and systems. In order to prepare for future automation, we recently launched a new system for creating our contracts. While we are transitioning, we will not be able to provide your final amount due or final contract until your delivery appointment. This may result in a longer than usual wait time at your delivery appointment - we're running about 60-90 minutes behind. If you need to reschedule for a new date, please reach out to your Inside Delivery Advisor. We are working diligently to get your contract posted in your MyTesla account asap.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support!

Crazy, I still have nothing, but still hoping it works out. Good luck! Seems like a dumb ass time to decide to automate. Like when you are DELIVERING more cars then ever before? Sure why not lets roll out a new process. Maybe test this back when 1000 cars a month was barely possible. But hey that's just me. Seems like Tesla likes is a build the race car in the middle of the race type of company.

I like the racecar analogy. Honestly I'm reasonable hopeful I'll get the car today. There's no way they can turn away a day's worth of people and keep the cars sitting around. I suspect they're just going to have to take people's word on the financing until they sort this out.

Dang, I feel nervous for you guys and I've already have a car. Very exciting days, hope they come through for you. I'm sure it's stressful as hell on the delivery/contracts side.

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, I just got off the phone with my ISA and we pushed my delivery out to Saturday. The reason is the Fremont delivery center said they won't accept an incomplete ACH transfer from a third party bank at delivery because they won't be able to see it in progress on their end.

I'm trying to convince my bank to write a check to Tesla I can bring in today in case they do get me the contract but until they do looks like I'm SoL for delivery today.

#31 ·
Hmm... I haven't heard that anywhere yet. The bank won't write a check or put it your account for a cashiers check?

Ok so just got a call from the San Fran delivery asking to move me to 4 pm today. Contract is about done. Lucky I can make that time, little bummed they didn't bother calling sooner since my original appointment was at 12... I could have gone to lunch but oh well. I think only reason its happening is becuase I don't have to go through a CU. I'll keep everyone updated when I see a contract. They are getting them done just very slowly. Hope you get yours soon Chris.

I got my contract at delivery, and made payment about 30 mins before the car arrived. My Tesla sales guy who delivered said Its crazy but this software update was planned months ago, they just had no idea they would be delivering so many cars this weekend and week or they would have never done it now. And of course it went like all new software goes, horrible. It SHOULD save them time later but right now it was causing holy hell across the US. I said YES, I have poor owner club mates that are traveling super far and dont have contracts yet.

Anyway, car is mine now. Not much time to drive yet as I have work sadly. I love it tho, and fit and finish are perfect. Maybe good karma for us waiting. But paint and gaps, headline, etc. all perfect. Lots of things to figure out. I had to send the guy off because of kids and dinner so I left a lot for me to figure out. But he dint rush me at all even tho it was almost 6 PST.

Good luck to all waiting

Got my contract about 30 minutes before scheduled delivery and picking up now!

Whoooo hooooooo nice! Hope its awesome! Just a crazy FYI, keep the key card with you! My app no longer believes I won a Tesla. I am readin its common first 24-72 hours. You dont want to rely on the phone as a key and have it go poof!

Congrats again!
I love it so much so far! Supercharging in Lima now on the way home.

Thanks for the FYI and the congrats. I'm glad it worked out.

Crazy huh? Ask if it helps you can send the money by smoke signal. Can you get a Nigerian Prince in California to deliver the payment for you? I mean all those emails I get, there has to be a few Princes around willing to hook someone up for all the help they get moving there money out of there home countries. Small aside, my money from Tuesday delivery ACH portal finally pulled from my bank and like magic my car is back in my app. It's a unique repo system I decided :) Don't pay and no phone is your key..

Picked up my Model 3 yesterday. I never did get a contract or a payment portal. My Service Advisor stopped answering emails, and the Service Department did not answer my calls. I showed up at my appointment with a cashier's check, the Delivery Specialist had my contract, the dollar amount matched the number that was on my Tesla web page, and I drove home with a car, half in shock that it has actually happened. The Delivery guy said my Service Advisor dropped the ball...
