DIY Fog PPF Template

Today I created a template to do some paint protection film on my Fog lights. I noticed after 1000 miles they're already getting pitted.

I ordered this for $10:

Just print it out and make sure that the legend in the middle measures 1" across. Tape the two pieces together for each light. I cut mine in the center of the lines with an exacto knife after taping it down to a cutting board.

Can be applied wet or dry on this smaller piece. I would recommend a felt tipped squeegee (or makeshift version) to avoid scratching. It wraps around the bottom only, should line up flush on the surface edges.

Actually I wouldn't recommend dry installation, it stretched the material way too much.

Good thing you get enough material to do it several times on the roll.

Wet install went a lot better, but I will be redoing it one more time to get rid of all the bubbles.
