S is a better car overall now that we've seen model 3 mostly even with no options.
S will always be more advanced than the 3
S will have more range than the 3 no matter what. Update battery packs in the future.
Honestly not overly impressed with model 3 at this time-it looks stripped.
Need as much range as possible-340 is nice. With AC I can go about 300.
No need to wait anymore is a nice plus. I can afford it too.
S has a center screen that I like
I can put in my navigation computer in the dash-custom built-did it on my s p90d.
No longer need a p version of the car-I think I've used performance like 10x just to see what
it was like-then never used it again-really.
This is just my take on why I changed my mind.
Ordered it this morning. Delivery estimated mid May.
Choice most of us don't get to make. Model 3 will be by far the most expensive car I have ever purchased. I will test drive any 200 mile plus EV available beforw I configure but I can't see anything on the horizon that will beat it.
The thing that puzzles me, @Tesla007 , is how you'd plan on a 3 'next year' for your niece, after you just 'ditched' the two reservations you had, thereby putting yourself at the back of the line, presumable >500k now...? Unless you mean you'd 'order' it next year with delivery time TBD, possibly after the graduation...?
Could be I'm missing something, or you have a secret plan?
OP, How are you handling the fact that you're now only getting 1 car vs the 2 you planned on? The S is bigger/faster etc but it's only 1 vs your 2 reserved 3s.
I will order the 3 after she graduates (waiting is better at this point with a model 3 loaded)-or she might get my p90d. Haven't decided yet. might depend on where she decides to live. Will see the 100d early May.
Personally I want something on the smaller side. I'll be driving this around LA which is the worst of both worlds; urban landscape of parking hell and freeways galore. The MS is a larger car than I want. So unless they cost almost the same I'd pick the M3. I personally like how simplified it is.
