I'm jealous! Ordered on 3/4 - updated to SR+ on 3/7. Received text of delivery between 3/20-3/29. Since then nothing. No VIN and nothing on my account. Anxiously patient...Ordered February 28, 7:30 PM (CDT):
- Standard Range Model 3, $35k
- Metallic Blue, $1.5k
- Current Autopilot, $3k
Emails and SMS messages about financing and trade-in. Received a draft cost estimate. Have bank loan approval because Tesla financing is not available to Alabama residents.
Getting trade-in car detailed today while waiting on replacement title.

Day one of my expected delivery date range (3/20-3/29) and still no VIN and delivery specialist also says no VIN assigned yet. The anticipation is killing me!![]()
Anticipation is so much better than immediate gratification.
SAID NO ONE EVER

Sorry, my post was a failed attempt at a joke. The anticipation was fun. When you are looking forward, correct. But when you are looking at the past, especially for Model 3 reservations, the anticipation was, to a great degree, one of the more memorable aspects of the car.
Its all a matter of perspective.

Are they also charging you that $1,200 destination and documentation fee?I ordered an SR+ on 3/17 and got a Vin on 3/19. (NY). I have since canceled that order in favor of a MR from FL. It has 400mi on it, and it's discounted $1200. The flipside is that they are charging me $1000 for shipping.
Are they also charging you that $1,200 destination and documentation fee?
I asked, and yes. I get to pay both. I thought that it was outrageous, but it's the only way to get an MR at this point, and the only way to get premium connectivity without going full LR.
Yeah, it's a bit messed up, but I'm going to try to argue with them at delivery.Am I reading this right? Your paying over 2k fordelivery on a used car that they are selling to you as quasi new?
Something does not sound right here.
