InsideEV's asked me to write an article about my delivery experience. Here you go:

Great write up. Pretty cool that they could shuffle things around and get you the car. Helps point again toward the "stock piling of cars" effect. Either that or someone with deliver the next day of a blue Model 3 had issues :)

Question -- is this car just an income car for you and will always be rented out and you'll keep the S as your daily?

I'm not sure yet, playing it by ear for now because I don't know what kind of demand there will be. Not really interested in renting it out for $99/day to any Joe blow on the street that will trash it. I dropped my Model S price once because demand was low and I got trashy renters that didn't respect the car.

My delivery experience was fantastic. Samantha was my Las Vegas sales contact that set everything up via email and phone. Bryce was my local San Diego delivery specialist. Everything went like clockwork.

our delivery experience in Marina Del Rey. Made this compilation of mostly phone video. Please forgive shaky cam and noise!

Well, definitely "woo-hoo" worthy! Welcome, and thanks for keeping the video rolling so you could post here.

Great point about the easy entry function; should be an easy fix considering the occupancy sensors in the back seat - maybe an override option for heavy objects without legs. Definitely agree about being able to anchor when operating a touchscreen but for those of us with decent sized hands, the best method I've found in turbulent conditions is to anchor the thumb on the nearest bezel. I hope that will work in the 3 since it would prove more solid than the armrest considering the distance.

Hope you have nothing but wonderful times with your beautiful MS M3 (great color choice) and look forward to joining you soon!

I'm having a hard time differentiating between the silver and the midnight silver in pictures. Is yours the regular silver paint? Same with the Edmunds video for those that have watched it. Which paint is that?

I don't understand the footage on the 18s vs 19s. The cutaway shots of destroyed rims -- in all of those cases with whatever those people hit, I would put money on the 18s and 19s both being destroyed just the same.

Both are Midnight Silver.
