It's my thinking based on Twitter feeds that all of Canada is getting the same estimate if you put down your deposit on or after March 31 2016.

I've attached a screen shot for reference. Please answer yes or no if your date says the same.
If you have a different estimate please attach a screen shot and let us know the date you made the reservation. It will help Ken and I with talking points at the next meetup on August 16th.

Thanks

I suspect once regulatory approval is awarded it might change. Hoping at least, I understand that us is a more important market and they are up against a time line on the tax credit but it won't sit well if someone orders a year later and gets their car before any in the north. I don't share your faith that the incoming Ontario government will continue the rebate whether it is budgeted for or not. It is an easy target for the short sighted politicians.

Yes, same here - put in a reservation before the unveiling on March 31, 2016. Agreed with Todd...it would be a bit disappointing to say the least to have my delivery later than people in the U.S. who made a reservation a year after I did.

Called Tesla. Was told separate testing is needed for Canada so US will be delivered first...with Canada likely next year. I tend to believe it. I imported a 1993 Miata a few years ago and was surprised that our 5 mph front bumper rule ...vs US 3 mph rule meant I had to upgrade front bumper before importing.....even funnier....5 mph bumper was identical part to 3 mph....O Canada...our home and anal land. Lol
I ordered mar31 2016
Not sure what I will do if this delay stands..seems I'll go from about 40000 position to 400000 position. May make sense to retrieve deposit and keep in my bank since not much advantage to delivery time....plus opens

Called Tesla Was told Canada requires separate testing. Therefore it appears all Canadians go to the back of the queue...so much for ordering early... Trev do you have info on this? Get vids btw.

Is there any interest in pooling the Canadian talent to see if there is anything to be done to hold our place in the queue and get these cars in Canada faster?
Tesla should see it as a huge vote of confidence that WE WANT OUR MODEL 3'S....PLEEEEEZE!!!!!
Maybe we can lobby a few politicians to help expedite importation of a clean EV....I'm up for working on the left coast ...err I mean west coast!
Worse case maybe Elon will reward our persistence with a signature Canadian version...RED (of course)...AWD (of course..but only if it causes no delay) premium package (heated seats!) and a silver Maple Leaf in place of the T - logo. .....I LIKE IT!

You guys are lucky. The 2nd quarter Teslas shareholders report released yesterday suggests that despite ordering on March 30 last year Tesla will not deliver to Australia until sometime in 2019.

Two orders one March 31 2016 second July 2017. Both say late 2018. Very differnt scenarios. Until tesing is done and ramp in US is clear I dont think we will get anything real. A petition to Transport Canada couldn't hurt.

Late 2018 here too. Online reservation at 10:30pm on 31/3/2016. An hour later, Elon would announce that they had 115k reservations, leading me to think I would be part of the first 100k getting the car. I guess I'll have to keep polluting for another year :(

I ordered Apr 25, 2016. I WAS showing late 2018. Now, nothing. A couple days ago, I could select from the 3 big buttons (and got late 2018). but now... nothing.

Here's something concerning, Tesla is giving 3 month time Windows. Some in the US are getting "Oct-Dec 2018" and we're getting "late 2018". My thoughts are Oct-Dec 2018 comes first.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but i thought bumper standards were recently harmonized between the US and Canada. Are we sure this isn't Tesla passing the buck?

And who were the 3 knuckleheads that voted no!?

Edit, nevermind found out from their comments, they really meant yes.

What is really starting to bother me is the verbage from Elon himself that "if a person puts a deposit on Model 3 today - they probably won't see the car until late next year." He is obviously referring to Americans that have absolute, undeniable, #1, Primo priority over all other orders - so the more Americans jump on the Model 3 bandwagon (even just to speculate and try to make money selling them second hand) they will jump the queue ahead of anyone, everyone outside of USA even if you waited overnight and were one of the legitimate first people to put down a deposit.

The more I think about this the more I think we are potentially in for an update. I think there's a good possibility that once all the regulatory hurdles are cleared we will be sorted into the queue. AKA once Canadian deliveries start we could see things moving faster than suspected. But until we see our delivery windows change to something more firm and reflective of our reservations it's just a hunch. I do worry about Transport Canada, they can be quite slow in the approval process, at least on the aviation end of things. I would hope that we will see some effort on their part to bring such an important car to market quickly, but I'm not holding my breath.

Just curious..does anyone know how many Model 3 orders are for Canada? If the total res# is 50000, I would guess at least 50000 are from Canada. That's not insignificant!
Also, I believe Elon went to Queen's University in Kingston Ontario, maybe we can get his alma mater can pull some strings!
