I was messing around with the USB plug ins under the console, (getting power to iPhone but no data output, ie iTunes, if anyone can help me with that) and couldn't get the console lid to close. Only had the car for 2 weeks and it looked like I finally found something mechanical that didn't work. Kept trying to push it closed and it kept popping back up. Then, I got this message;

I closed it gently.. voila!

I was at a National Drive Electric Week event in early September with my then-week-old Model 3, showing the car to a group of people. Someone asked about USB ports, so I opened up all the console panels to show them where the front two were located.

When I tried to close the console lid, it wouldn't stick, so I kept pushing it harder, and harder, and HARDER to no avail. "Man, what is UP with this thing?!" I blurted out... which prompted a helpful suggestion from someone in the peanut gallery: "Dude, look at the message on the touchscreen."

:oops:
