Got an Opti coat Pro Plus ceramic coating on my Model 3 on Wednesday. I did the entire car, the front window, the glass roof, and the tires. It was a significant investment, but I am very pleased with it. I could see my reflection in the car.

I live in the NYC area and drove my car to Paramus to get it done. Used a company called Always Clean Mobile Detailing. The owner is very knowledgeable (he has a Model S).

Please note that I am posting this because I really appreciate the detailing that was done (I have not been asked to post nor was I given anything to post). I only post this because I really appreciate the excellent work, and love the way that the car turned out.

Prior to owning the Model 3, I have never been a car person. But the detailing on the car has made me appreciate my Model 3 even more. I will pay much more attention to how the car is washed (only by hand!).

I uploaded a couple of photos.

Beautiful. I go in for mine next week! I'm curious about the front windshield though, my detailer recommended against it because it gets worn down by the wipers. Did they use a different product on your windshield?

how did you prep the car for ceramic coat,

I have Cquartz but The buffing was very difficult it would be really sticky and you can see the high spots the more you rub it feels oily and accumulate at the end of the wipe like snow plowing it moves everything at the end of the wipe stroke.

I had to detail again luckily a polish with 1 pass was able to return to original finish.

I know the surface prep wasnt ideal of the coating.

What did it run you to have them coat your Model 3? I live by Paramus and want to get the same thing done. Thanks!
