Do you use it? Is it awkward to work with when accessing storage below?
My current car has a similar configuration and the tray is a great place to keep little things (nail clipper, extra contacts, hand sanitizer, etc) so you’re not digging for it.

Curious...can the documentation/owners manual/anything that normally comes in the glove box fit in the arm rest storage? Perhaps under the tray? That would free up space in a somewhat small glovebox.

My first thought about documentation for the car in the arm rest storage is that it might be an issue when interfacing with law enforcement, but maybe that's not a concern for you.

Yes you can probably fit anything from the glovebox into the console storage. Between the two cubbies, there's more space there than in the glovebox.
