has anyone else had experience with not being able to set up their phone key long after taking delivery?

We picked up our car 10/7 and is still shows the reservation number online so it thinks we haven't taken delivery yet. I've called and talked to service quite a few time but nothing seems to be happening... Any advice? This is our 2nd model 3 and the other we were able to set up everything at delivery. Is this normal now that they are busier?

In the past assignments of delivered cars into your Tesla account was a manual process which could take 24-48 hours. Not sure if that's improved with Model 3 but given the incredible delivery numbers I suspect some are experiencing delays in getting that sorted out.

Yeah they mentioned a potential 72 HR delay but I'm on week 2 and am worried I slipped through the cracks
Two weeks is extremely long for a critical feature. I think you should escalate this issue. There is an option on the website where you can contact them and escalate for executive review, people have had success with this in the past.

I actually can't do a repair request on the website since it thinks we haven't taken delivery. But I entered one for our other car and said it was actually for this VIN and clicked the check saying to escalate the issue but haven't heard anything back

Two weeks is definitely not right. Just keep calling. Their support can be pretty frustrating these days. I don't really know what the right department is for this. I think you did the right thing calling service. You could also try calling your local service center and choosing the delivery department (which usually goes nowhere, but mine gives me an option to talk to a national delivery person). Another option might be the ownership department by calling the 877-79TESLA support number.

I've just been through a somewhat similar but different hassle in getting my phone key working. I ordered my car under a relatives account and I needed it transferred to my own account. No responses to my requests over the past two weeks, so I couldn't tell if anything was happening or not. Took delivery Oct 12 and car suddenly transferred to my account this morning. Phone key works immediately now that the car is in my account.

During delivery did they not have you log in to your phone and confirm you can access the car? While deliveries are rushed and not much is reviewed, I thought this was at least one key action that always happened. If you aren't too far from the SC where you took delivery I'd stop back by and ask them to take care of it. It is a manual process, but they turn on the app access just before or at delivery typically.

That's what we did for our first in May but this one they said that it wasn't activated yet but that it should happen in the "next 72 hrs" but I'm still waiting. Service center is an hour and a half away or I would have gone back. I've called the sales guys, called service at least 6 or 7 times, and I've emailed and called my delivery specialist but never heard anything back from her.

Since your last post was Oct. 21, I hope your app access has been turned on. I've been waiting for mine for over a week now and have just received some clues as to the problem. I can share my information with you if you still need help.
