I only found this out at the weekend but road tax or Vehicle Excise Duty is changing in 2017 for newly registered cars after 1st April 2017. Its interesting that for any vehicle with a purchase price of over £40,000 there will be an additional charge of £310 per year to the standard annual fee. This means If you purchase a Model S after 1st April you will be paying road tax something you don't have to do at the moment. Also depending on costs of course, a highly specified Model 3 might just creep over that £40,000 boundary, something to definitely be aware of.
