We actually got a fair amount of rain the other night here in SoCal while I was making a grocery store run. I noticed after parking the car that there was a significant amount of very brown tinted water collecting around most of the car.

I've only had the car since 8/18 and have hand washed it weekly since then using good quality neutral soap. I've never seen this "dirty" run off on any other vehicle previously. I assume that perhaps the car picked up some material from the road (only paved) that discolored the rain run off but the amount of discoloration is really unusual - to me.

No big deal I'm sure and it may never happen again but I thought I would check in case someone else has seen this.

Maybe just rust from the brake rotors that hardly ever get used?

I can't seem to keep my door and window seals clean. Every time it rains my door sills turn into a Dalmatian.
