Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for some Installer recommendations & prices people are paying for NEMA 14-50 or the Wall charger installation work in the Austin area.

We have a ~45 mile round trip daily drive.
The garage has a standard 120V outlet in an inconvenient location that we can use for overnight charging.
Would a NEMA 14-50 outlet be more flexible (versatile?) than a hardwired wall charger?

Main breaker in the outside service panel is 200amps.

Installer 1 has quoted $725 for a NEMA 14-50 (with 50 amps breaker) outlet installed on the inside garage wall directly behind the outside main service panel. $1050 to install the NEMA 14-50 plug on the opposite side garage wall which is ~30' away form the main service panel.

Installer 2 has quoted $425 for NEMA 14-50 (with 50 amps breaker) outlet installed on the inside garage wall directly behind the outside main service panel. $600 (with 60amps breaker) for the wall charger installation at the same location.
$65 for plans & permit.

EDIT/UPDATE: Got another quote last week for wall changer installation - $ 1,400.

Paid $640 for the Tesla wall charger (with 60A breaker) installation.
This includes ~24' of cable run. Pics below.
