Noticed this perfectly cut rectangle in the upper covering between the top of the trunk and rear window just behind the back seats. This is a picture looking up at it from the trunk. Looks like it was intended for a speaker, but surrounding and covering material is mess cloth. Any ideas? Thanks!

Suspected to let more bass sound from the stereo through, the sub is in the trunk. Maybe also to let some AC/Heat in there from the cabin.

Also - a thread I cant find right now, some people had some Styrofoam blocks wedged in there on either side, but no one ever found a use for them or what they might have been used for. Not everyone had them.
