My model X is two days old and the other day driving up the parkway to the airport with unoccupied passenger front seat all of a sudden the airbag indicator on the dash starts flickering on and off on off on off. I tried pulling over restarting the car same thing happened. Then, on the way home I picked up my son from the airport sitting in the seat the airbag turned on and there was no issues but when not occupied it still flickers . I’ve got a service scheduled but anybody have any idea what this could be?

It's just a weight sensing pad...If it's not lined up correctly or being pinched it might be barely toggling the threshold of 'no weight', 'enough weight to disable for child protection', and 'enough weight to be an adult'. The upholstering process could easily jam something up without being visually wrong.
