The locking pin that locks the charger in the port is supposed to clear the square hole in the port when inserting and removing the charger. After the SC replaced the latch assembly with the updated part with new seals to prevent freezing there has been issues. The locking and unlocking actions...
Toward the end of winter the button on my UMC stopped working for a while. Not a big deal then because the port was unlatched due to cold temps and you could press the door to open. A little more annoying above freezing as the port stayed latched so I had to start using the app to disengage.
I came up with a cheap wireless charger upgrade if you have a 3D printer. You can find the files on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3554915
It is designed specifically for the Yootech wireless charger, the most highly reviewed one on Amazon.
1) Wireless charger
2) USB power only...
We recently purchased a Nomad charger for “The Future” and loved it so much that we wanted to share it with all of our clients. To make things easy, we’ve teamed up with Nomad to be able to supply the charger to all of you along with any other MPP parts you’re interested in! We also stock these...
Hello - I am looking for a gen ii wall connector? Anybody selling theirs? Tesla sells it for $500k, free shipping. Trying to see if I can get a better deal.
Preferably in the New England (MA, CT, RI, ME, NH) or NJ area?
Does a charging cable for the Model 3 charger power systems directly or through the battery?
For example, if I run the heater while connected to a SuperCharger, does the heater draw power directly from the SuperCharger, or does it draw from the battery as the SuperCharger charges that battery?
Just wanted to share a video I made of my own DIY installation of a charging station for my new Model 3. It’s good for charging at up to 40 amps if your charger supports it. I took queues from other threads here while making material and installation decisions.
Here’s a link to the video on...
With the questions about charging a Model 3 ramping nearly as fast as the car itself it seemed that a comprehensive resource that folks could link to might be helpful. This charging guide is Model 3 specific, providing an overview...
Went to chage my TM3 at our nearest Tesla supercharging station and I was at 26% charged it to 90% which came out to $26.94. it's cheaper than gas but I was surprised at the cost. I previously filled up at work (no supercharger just regular EV charging station) and it cost me a little under $5...
Nice juxtaposition to Munro teardown video. Rather than parts affixed to pegboard and labeled, the battery and charging components are named in the context of still being assembled.
☻ Jack likes the battery. Uses superlatives such as "Work of art", "I've never seen anything...
I know this is a rare situation but I live in a condo in Toronto that will allow me to install a wall charger for my Model 3.
I’m wondering if anyone has a condo parking spot where they had a charger installed and roughly what costs were involved.
Any recomendd electricians?
I'm doing a little early research on which charger to get for my home.
Of course I would prefer the convenience of the Tesla Wall Connector for simply being able to hit the button to open and close the charge port (can any others do this?).
But as this will be on the side of my house in my...
Do all EVs put their charging socket on the same side of the car? I'm looking at pre-installing a wall charger and have an excellent position to put it (out of view) at the front of my house. So do I purchase the 2.5m of 7.5m? Rear left of a Tesla, 2.5 will be fine, rear right would require 7.5...
Just thought I'd put this out there in case someone has a Tesla HPWC for sale they've decided against. We're going to be a Tesla-only household so we want to install their charger instead of a NEMA 14-50.
PM me if you have or know of one for sale.
